Elevator Etiquette

This is something that gets on my nerves just about every morning.

I walk in to my office building, I see someone waiting at the elevator, they see me...an elevator door opens, the person walks on and rushes to push the close door button so they can ride in the elevator themselves. This gets on my nerves to no end. I was no more than 10 feet to the elevator door. I see this happen all the time to me and to others.

When stepping in to an elevator I always look around to see if anyone is on their way to get in, it is just the right thing to do.

I am trying to get up the nerve to yell "THANKS ALOT" next time someone rushes to close the door...I will keep you posted.
